The Cube project consisted of 3 main modes: Transformation, Surface, and Translation. Transformation referred to the deconstruction and reconstruction of two Figure Ground relationships in order to create a 3D cube that vertically changed from one to the other, layer by layer. Surface involved translating this 3D transformation into a graphically "flat" cube that used the surface to create interior spaces. Finally, the Translation cube involved synthesizing both cubes into a form that incorporated the conflicting pieces, forms, and parts of the original Figure Ground depictions into one contained cube of dynamic movement.
