"SIMPLICITY"
[Corrugated Cardboard ; Socket ; LED Chandelier Bulb]
For this project, we were to create a light fixture using Rhinoceros and its plug-in, Grasshopper. By taking an initial design, reworking it several times, I decided on this delicate twisting form that I called "Simplicity." From there, I utilized Grasshopper to create "slices" that where used as laser cutting templates. Roughly eighty-six layers of the cardboard were used to finish the project.
