The ceaseless development of technology has changed the way people live, work, and interact with one another on an unprecedented scale. In keeping with Cornell Tech’s dedication to researching innovative technology that greatly impacts our daily lives, Dichotomy seeks to illustrate the simultaneous division and connection between our technological world and social, environmental, and physical wellbeing.
Dichotomy presents two different programmatic and formal elements that interact with one another internally and externally. Wellbeing, represented by the triangle and wood elements, and Technology, represented by the square and metallic elements, come together only to fissure apart at their interaction point. This move offers a key moment for societal reflection and way finding.
